Spike Manton and Harry Teinowitz's comedy Another Shot will make its New York debut at the Pershing Square Signature Theatre later this fall.
Running October 15 through January 4, 2025, opening night is set for October 29. Originally titled When Harry Met Rehab during its initial 2021 Chicago run, the play previously received a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination for Best New Work.
An ode to addiction recovery and the sober community, Another Shot is based loosely on real-life Chicago sports radio personality Harry Teinowitz, whose career and life were put in jeopardy following a DUI arrest. The play is co-written by former ESPN personality and playwright Manton (Leaving Iowa). Jackson Gay will direct.
Another Shot will star Dan Butler (Fraisier, Roseanne) as Harry, Chiké Johnson as Vince, Samantha Mathis as Andrea, Gregg Mozgala as Isaiah, Quentin Nguyễn-duy as George, and Portia as Barb. The company is completed by T.J. Mannix, Zuleyma Guevara, and Neil Redfield.
The creative team will include set designer Beowulf Boritt, lighting designer Mextly Couzin, sound designer Daniel Baker, projection designer Stefania Bulbarella, and costume designer Alejo Vietti.
The stage manager will be Avery Trunko, and the assistant stage manager will be Rodrigo Herrera.
