Christine Baranski Spills Details on a Dream Run-In With Stephen Sondheim Amidst a Nuclear Threat

Tony winner Christine Baranski, who starred opposite Brian Stokes Mitchell in the Kennedy Center staging of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, recently appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

The stage and screen star spoke about working with and later becoming friends with late composer-lyricist Sondheim. The Emmy winner also related a dream she had in 2006 that found her escaping the threat of a nuclear attack. In the anxiety dream, Baranski runs into Sondheim on her way to the bank; turns out, Sondheim works there and shows Baranski a savings account she knew nothing about worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
