An industry reading of Shepherd the Musical will be presented October 12 at 3 PM at Ripley Grier Studios, Studio 312 (305 West 38th Street).

Based on the novel The Shepherd of the Hills by Harold Bell Wright, the new musical has a book and lyrics by Hayden Head.
The musical is set in the Ozark hills of 1906. Seeking a reason for his son's suicide, an outsider finds himself welcomed by the hill-folk of a town where that very son was also once a stranger.
The reading has musical direction by Stan Beard and casting by Michael Cassara. The general manager is DTE Management.
