The Moon and the Sea, a new musical featuring a book by Broadway's Douglas Lyons and music by Creighton Irons, will premiere this summer in Bloomington, Indiana. Running June 8-25 at Constellation's Waldron Auditorium, the love story has been in development for some time.
The cast will feature Rico Lebron and Narée Asherian in the leading roles of Charlie and Erin, respectively, alongside Alexa Green as Moon, Demetrio Alomar as Sea, Jesse Townes as Doug, and Scott Van Wye as Elijah.
The production will be directed by Josh Rhodes, following his engagement directing Spamalot at The Kennedy Center. He leads a creative team that will consist of music director James Rushin, scenic designer Adam Koch, lighting designer Cory Pattak, and costume designer Katherine Mott, with additional local support from stage manager Philip Christiansen, assistant stage managers Katie Ayer and Chelsea Pell, and prop masters Aubrey Krueger and Barb Steininger.
