Long Wharf Theatre's 2018–2019 season will begin October 10 with Jen Silverman's The Roommate. Directed by Mike Donahue, performances will continue through November 10 on the Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Theatre.
Linda Powell (On Golden Pond) will star as Sharon with Tasha Lawrence (Good People, Proof) as Robyn.
The comedy concerns Sharon, who is in her mid-50s, recently divorced, and needs a roommate to share her Iowa home. Robyn, also in her mid-50s, needs a place to hide and a chance to start over. Sharon begins to uncover Robyn’s secrets, encouraging her own deep-seated desire to transform her life completely.
The production will also feature set design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Anita Yavich, lighting design by Reza Bejhat, and sound design by Stowe Nelson. Alex Hajjar is the stage manager.
