Songbook Sundays, created and hosted by Deborah Grace Winer, will continue at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club November 19 at 5 PM and 7:30 PM with A Little Time With Cy Coleman.
Hosted and curated by Winer, the concerts will feature Linda Purl (The Office), Nicolas King (The New Belters), and Mar Vilaseca.
Music director Jon Weber will lead a band featuring Jay Leonhart on bass/guest vocals, T.J. Reddick on drums, and Birsa Chatterjee on tenor saxophone.
A Little Time With Cy Coleman will feature such Coleman standards as "The Best Is Yet to Come," "I’ve Got Your Number," "Big Spender," and "When in Rome" plus lesser-known gems.
Tony-winning composer Coleman's Broadway musicals include City of Angels, The Life, The Will Rogers Follies, On the Twentieth Century, Little Me, Sweet Charity, I Love My Wife, and Barnum.
