Ben Edelman, who appeared in Lincoln Center Theater's Off-Broadway presentation of Joshua Harmon's Admissions, will receive the tenth annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theatre at the 2018 Theatre World Awards ceremony.

As previously reported, the 74th annual ceremony will take place June 4 at the Circle in the Square Theatre (as the venue is currently home to Once On This Island, the attire is "festive island" wear).

Edelman earned a Drama Desk nomination earlier this season for his performance in Admissions. His previous credits include Significant Other on Broadway and Off-Broadway, Long Wharf Theatre's The Chosen, and Angels in America with Throughline Theatre Company.

Past recipients of the award, chosen by the Trustees of the Dorothy Loudon Foundation and Executive Director Lionel Larner, include current Tony nominee Katrina Lenk, Nicholas Barasch, Leanne Cope, and Celia Keenan-Bolger, soon to return to Broadway in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Also set to be presented with an honorary award this year is Hello, Dolly!'s Victor Garber, who will receive the sixth annual John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre.
