Off-Broadway company Bedlam has announced the selected readings for its Do More: New Plays series.
The series will feature This is What the Days Are by Madison Fiedler, which will be directed by Francesca Sabel on March 25, with performers Moe Angelos, John Behlmann, Kayli Carter, Peter Francis James, Deidre Staples, and Nicole Villamil; To The Ends of the Earth by Renae Simone Jarrett, which will be directed by Kate Whorisky on April 29; Whore and Wife by Emily Breeze, which will be directed by Zachary Elkind and presented May 12; Supposed Home by Sam Hamashima on May 6; and Diary of War, based upon diaries collected by Daria Kolomiec and directed by Zuzanna Szadkowski, performing June 2.
Curated by their Associate Artistic Director Zachary Elkind, Do More: New Plays has previously developed work by Zora Howard, Julian Hornik, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Stefani Kuo, Eleanor Burgess, a.k. payne, Zack Fine, Emily Breeze, Rachel Vail, Daniel K. Isaac, Adrienne Dawes, and Bailey Williams, as well as Talene Monahon‘s The Good John Proctor and Zuzanna Szadkowski and Deb Knox‘s Fall River Fishing, which Bedlam went on to produce in 2023.
