Broadway alums Michelle Veintimilla, Sharon Catherine Brown, Aurelia Williams, and more star in the folk rock adaptation of the L. M. Montgomery story.

The world premiere of Anne of Green Gables: A New Musical completes its run September 4 at East Haddam, Connecticut's Goodspeed Musicals. The show, which began previews July 15, opened July 17.

Juliette Redden stars as the titular young girl Anne Shirley, who has freshly arrived on Prince Edward Island and adopted by siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, played by Sharon Catherine Brown (Caroline, Or Change) and D.C. Anderson, respectively. They are jonied by joined by Michelle Veintimilla (The Visit) as Diana Barry, Aurelia Williams (Once On This Island) as Rachel Lynde, and Pierre Marais as Gilbert Blythe.

Rounding out the cast are Emily Agy, Jarred Bedgood, Tristen Buettel, Giovanni Da Silva, Amanda Ferguson, Patrick Oliver Jones, Nick Martinez, Morgan McGhee, Jenna Lea Rosen, and Avery Sobczak feature in the ensemble, while Elaine Cotter and Sam Pickart serve as swings.

The folk-rock musical adaptation of the classic story by L. M. Montgomery features a book and lyrics by Matte O'Brien, and music by Matt VinsonJenn Thompson directs the production, which features choreography by Jennifer Jancuska (Hamilton), music supervision by Amanda Morton (KPOP), music direction by Matthew Smedal, scenic design by Wilson Chin (Pass Over), costume design by Tracy Christensen, lighting design by Philip S. Rosenberg (Mrs. Doubtfire), sound design by Jay Hilton, and hair and wig Design by J. Jared Janas (How I Learned to Drive). Orchestrations are by Justin Goldner, and Bradley G. Spachman is production stage manager.

Casting for this production is by Binder Casting's Chad Eric Murnane and Amber Snead, with additional casting by Carrie Gradner. Anne of Green Gables is produced by special arrangement with Justin Nichols, Eric Cornell, and Jack Sennott.
