Dykes to Watch Out For - One Night Stand, a live performance of the Audible adaptation of Alison Bechdel's comic series, plays Off-Broadway's Minetta Lane Theatre one night only in celebration of Pride Month June 23.
The evening offers a "Best Of” performance compilation from the Audible Original series, with guests Donnetta Lavinia Grays, Carrie Brownstein, Miriam A. Hyman, Roberta Colindrez, Lisa Kron, Rosal Colón, and Amber Ruffin as well as performances by Tony nominee Jenn Colella and Tony winner Lauren Patten (Jagged Little Pill).
The audio series, adapted by playwright and Pulitzer Prize finalist Madeleine George and directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman, is based on the cult-favorite comic strip from Bechdel. Another graphic work from Bechdel was famously adapted into Jeanine Tesori and Kron's Tony Award-winning musical Fun Home.
