Alexandra Tatarsky's Sad Boys in Harpy Land and Milo Cramer's School Pictures have extended their runs at Playwrights Horizons due to popular demand. Both productions, part of the Off-Broadway company's series of innovative solo works performed by their creators, will now run through December 10.

Tatarsky's Sad Boys in Harpy Land tells the story of a young Jewish woman who thinks she is a small German boy who thinks he is a tree. Iris McCloughan directs the show, and the creative team also includes composer and sound designer Shane Riley and set, costume, and props designer Andreea Mincic. 

Cramer's School Pictures debuted in November 2022 at Philadelphia's Wilma Theater. To develop the play, Cramer gathered observations from their time tutoring into a collection of witty fictional song-poem portraits of ten students, each fighting for admission to competitive New York City schools. The production features scenic design by Andreea Mincic, lighting design by Taylor Lilly, and sound design and music direction by Michael Kiley.

Playwrights Horizons' series aims to engage playwrights whose methods sit outside conventional theatre's definition of playwriting.
