Alan Turing: A Musical Biography begins performances at London's Riverside Studios January 8, and is set to run through January 27. The musical had a sold-out run at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it received critical acclaim. Jane Miles will direct.

The work, set to music by Joel Goodman and Jan Osborne, features a book by Joan Greening. Joe Bishop will star as Alan Turing. Zara Cooke will play multiple roles, including Joan Clarke.

"Alan Turing was one of the greatest British unsung heroes of World War Two, and we wanted to show the full breadth of his journey—from the loss of his closest friend at school, to his time at Bletchley Park, a romance with a fellow worker, and the growing awareness of his homosexuality, plus the crucial moment he realizes he knows how to beat the German’s Enigma Machine. He was a brilliant and funny man, left in despair by his treatment after the war—we hope we do his story justice on stage," said Goodman in an earlier statement.

The limited engagement will also feature lighting design by Rob Dyer.
