The Broadway premiere of Lucas Hnath’s A Doll’s House, Part 2 officially opens April 27. The limited engagement, which began March 30 at the John Golden Theatre, is directed by Tony winner Sam Gold.
Emmy winner Laurie Metcalf, Oscar winner Chris Cooper, Tony winner Jayne Houdyshell, and Condola Rashad star in the Broadway staging.
The play picks up several years after the events of Ibsen’s 1879 drama, which ends with Nora leaving her husband and children to pursue her own happiness and livelihood. Now, she returns to her family—for reasons unknown to those she once left behind.
