With arrangements and orchestration by Hamilton’s Alex Lacamoire, Carmen la Cubana is based on Bizet’s classic opera Carmen. Set in Havana on the eve of the Cuban revolution, the world’s first Cuban musical features a Spanish language book and lyrics by Norge Espinosa Mendoza (book and lyrics), Christopher Renshaw (book) and Stephen Clark (book).
