This call will be run on a 1st come, 1st served basis, and the sign-ups will begin 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the audition.

There are no Equity stage managerial positions available.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short cut of a pop/rock song. Bring sheet music in your key, accompanist will not transpose. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

SCHOOL OF ROCK

SEEKING (Adult Roles):

Dewey Finn – (25-40) Rock Tenor B2-E5. A competent guitar player. A wannabe rock star with big dreams, but an underachiever. Highly energetic and comedic. Improvisation skills desirable. Also seeking Understudy.

Rosalie Mullins – (25-40) Soprano A3-D6. Proper and a bit uptight. Headmistress of the school. Secret love of rock music. Has the skill of sounding operatic. Also seeking Understudy.

Ned Schneebly – (25-40) Baritone C3-F#4. (Rock voice preferred) Roommate and old friend of Dewey. Substitute teacher and former rock band member, has decided to be ‘responsible’ for the approval of his girlfriend.

Patty Di Marco – (25-40) Mezzo-Soprano B5-E5. (Strong belt required) The loving but dominating girlfriend to Ned, constantly trying to mold him to her ideal. Hates Dewey and wants to separate the two friends.

Mrs. Sheinkopf/Security Guard – (35-50) Mezzo-Soprano B3-E5. (Pop/Rock) Longtime teacher at the school. Hard disciplinarian. Moves well.
