I am a playwright in NYC. My play, La Gota Fria: the Cold Sweat is a a twelve-performance production, and we are casting for a Non-AEA actor and the undersudy/cover.

Blurb: "When the matriarch of the Gonzalez family falls ill, her loved ones rally around her: a blind but hyperaware grandfather, a frenzied daughter and her doting husband. And the meddlesome family friend with a particular interest for the Gonzalez women, including the cat. So let's go back in time to Queens, NY in the 1990s when you, your family and your friends were dancing to new and classic Salsa, Merengue and Latin Pop!"

We are seeking an actor to play the role of "Manuel", character description: "Manuel Gonzalez- mid 60s-70s, father to Josefina, grandfather to Irene. He is blind due to diabetes. He is a widower, and he lives with his daughter. He is a curmudgeon. Manuel is a Peruvian immigrant."

Rehearses in February (weeknights from 6:30 p.m. and anytime on weekends); tech March 1-2 (all day) and 3-5 (evenings); runs March 6-23 (Thursdays to Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.) at The Players Theatre in NYC.
