The newly established Assistant Safety Director position at the Met will support the Met’s Safety Program in various critical functions. The Assistant Safety Director will be responsible for helping to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, analyzing data trends, conducting safety training, performing safety assessments, and investigating workplace safety incidents. They will be crucial to ensuring a safe working environment for all Met employees, minimizing risks, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to:
· Collaborate seamlessly with the Safety Director, Met management, and Met staff to make informed health and safety decisions based on risk, legal, and regulatory requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.
· Support the further establishment of comprehensive rules and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment, with a special focus on theater safety and material handling.
$110,000 - $140,000 a year
