We are clearly the fun side of the table.
Back in bed after a long but fun-filled day at Barrington Stage with Lord of the Flies, running until October 21st! Follow me on Twitter @MatthewMinor for more fun.
We quickly showered and came a little late to the 10PM performance of "Joe Iconis & Family" at Mr. Finn's Cabaret. Barrington Stage keeps busy! Here are Lance Rubin, Molly Hager, Joe Iconis, Eric William Morris and Jason "Sweettooth" Williams.
Happy to be at Patrick's Pub for a nightcap and some grub.
After the show, poor Greer is left with the hair & makeup room. Between the blood, two shades of mud, tribal paint, hair products... this room is left a mess! We are just hoping she doesn't hate us at this point.
John Evans Reese stares at himself in the mirror during intermission. He acts like it is because he needs to put his makeup on right but I am convinced he just likes looking at himself.
SPOILER ALERT! Chris catches a picture of me right after I fall off the back of the stage to my death in the play. They have 6 mattresses waiting for my land. It's very Natalie Portman of me.
Dressed and ready with Richard. As Piggy and Ralph, we go through a lot onstage together so it is nice to check in before the show. We are sporting incredible costumes designed by the amazing Amy Clark.
Dane Shiner and John Buckley are 2 of the 3 local actors in our show who play Sam n' Eric. Their nervous laughter can only be equated to the fact that the sorting hat hasn't told them which Hogwarts house they are going to be in yet.
The female presence in the theatre is limited but Kristiana and Renee keep things knitty.
Our fight captain, Eric, lugs the spears back downstairs after fight call. He didn't think this was part of the job description!
Group sit-ups? Sound fun?
At fight call, Richard and John go over the great Ralph/Jack fight in Act 3. It's really sweet that they decided to wear matching red sweatshirts today.
Up onstage for warmup & fight call. Little Joey can't wait until the show to hang on one of the many ropes we have all over the brilliant set designed by David Barber.
In the car with Christopher, Will, and John on the way to the theatre. I'm smiling through my pain of being in the far back of the car.
Back to the theatre for show #2.
Fire in the fireplace... music by Christopher at the piano. I'd say it's a good afternoon at home before the night show.
Big comfy couch with Eric and John.
We build 3 fires onstage every show, but Richard wants the real thing so he builds one in our fireplace at home between shows.
Chris had to get a photo op with the scarecrows. Can you tell which one is him?
How sweet are my new pumpkin shades?
While we were at lunch, John Evans Reese sent me this picture of him at the doctor! Poor guy. Suck it up, you don't have an understudy!
The talkback after the show with Berkshire-area students. Whoever was sitting in that empty row and left, I will FIND YOU!
Panera with my buddy Chris after the show. He's just mad that his meal consists of mostly lettuce.
Before and After! I'm all cleaned up and ready to start the show... Too bad I won't stay like that!
Knock knock! Our Assistant Director, Shakina Nayfack, came to my dressing room to say hi before the show. Glad to know he's in the audience today... I won't put in that comedic monologue I wrote for myself in Act2. He might not like that.
Our Production Assistant, Kristiana Cowcer, mixes up a new batch of blood every show. We go through a LOT of it here at Lord of the Flies. It is clearly her favorite part of the day.
Diva alert! Christopher Sears has decided it is hard to brush his own hair so he enlists the help of Greer from the Wardrobe team.
Our amazing Production Stage Manager, Renee Lutz, finally gets a second to enjoy her bagel in her office!

Our youngest cast member, Joey LaBrasca, cuddles up to a blue gatorade on this early morning. Wipe that frown off of your face! This has got to be better than algebra class.
Forget the company car! Eric Meyers is driving me to work this morning in his shiny BMW.
Good morning! This two-show day is a little different today because our first show is a student matinee.. 7:45AM wake up time: caffeine, please.
