Waterwell, the theatre company founded by Arian Moayed and Tom Ridgely, will kick off its 20th anniversary year with the world premiere of Lameece Issaq's solo show A Good Day to Me Not to You. It will play the Connelly Theater November 8–December 9, with an official opening night  November 15.

Waterwell Artistic Director Lee Sunday Evans will direct Issaq in her self-written play about purpose, fulfillment, and motherhood. In the play, a dental lab tech in her 40's who has been fired and lost her apartment moves into St. Agnes Residence, a woman's house run by nuns. While there, she grapples with her unreached goal of motherhood and her struggles with fertility, as well as the death of her sister.

“I've spent my career writing about being Middle Eastern. With this show, I want to talk about being middle aged,” says Issaq. “What happens when you spend your years focused on your career and building your community, but not your family? What choices are people left with when their resources are limited?”

A Good Day to Me Not to You will feature set design by Peiyi Wong, costume design by Jian Jung, lighting design by Mextly Couzin, original composition and sound design by Avi Amon, production stage management by Siena Yusi, and associate set design by Oscar Escobedo. Arian Moayed, Rachel Sussman, and victor cervantes jr. serve as executive producers.
