On a recent episode of the CW comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, star Rachel Bloom performed "Flooded With Justice," a song that strongly resembles "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from the musical Les Misérables.
The original song was a rallying cry for the people of Paris to rise up against the corrupt government.
The parody shows Bloom's class-action suit clients singing a similarly stirring number to her and her law firm coworkers to encourage them in their battle with Greater City Water. As an inside joke, the number includes the waving of red flags, as was done in the original Broadway production.
The series stars Bloom as a "successful, driven and possibly crazy young Manhattan woman who impulsively gives up everything in a desperate attempt to find love and happiness in that exotic hotbed of romance and adventure: West Covina, CA."
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend also stars Santino Fontana, Donna Lynne Champlin, Vincent Rodriguez III, Pete Gardner and Vella Lovell.
