The 2022 season of The Town Hall concert series will launch with songs from Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Rent, and more.

Broadway by the Year: The New Wave will launch the 2022 season of the Broadway by the Year concert series March 21 at 8 PM at The Town Hall.

The upcoming evening will celebrate the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton), Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, Dogfight), Bobby Lopez (The Book of Mormon, Avenue Q), Jeff Marx (Avenue Q), Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison (The Drowsy Chaperone), and more.

Currently scheduled to perform are two-time Tony nominee Vivian Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar); Joe Iconis (Be More Chill); Sara Neimietz (13 The Musical); Danny Gardner (Flying Over Sunset), who will lead the Broadway by the Year Dance Troupe in a celebration of today's choreography; and Gunhild Carling (The Wonder Woman of Jazz).

Three other concerts, with details below, are also part of the new season.

Broadway by the Year: From the Ziegfeld Follies to Moulin Rouge, May 23 at 8 PM
Songs from jukebox musicals and revues

Broadway by the Year: Almost on Broadway, June 27 at 8 PM
Songs from Off-Broadway musicals and those around the world, including Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, Bat Boy, Beehive, The Fantasticks, The Baker's Wife, Zorro, and The Witches of Eastwick

Broadway by the Year: A One Night Only History of Broadway Song and Dance, September 19 at 8 PM
From George M. Cohan, Fred and Adele Astaire, and the dancing feet of 42nd Street, right up to the work of Andy Blankenbuehler in In the Heights and Hamilton

Ross Patterson continues as the series’ musical director along with The Ross Patterson Little Big Band. Additional casting for the concert series will be announced at a later date.
