Sarasota Florida's Asolo Repertory Theatre has announced its impending 2023-2024 season.

The season will include six shows, including Crazy For You, Inherit The Wind, the Alley Theatre’s world premiere production of Born With Teeth, Intimate Apparel, Dial ‘M’ For Murder, and the Theater Latté Da world premiere of Twelve Angry Men: A New Musical.

Opening the season November 15, Josh Rhodes will direct and choreograph Crazy For You, which will run through January 4. The dance heavy musical will be followed by four plays, including the trial drama Inherit The Wind January 17 through February 24, the reimagining of Shakespeare and Marlowe Born With Teeth from February 7 to March 29, and Lynn Nottage's Intimate Apparel from February 28 to April 18. The final play of the season will be a reimagined version of Dial 'M' For Murder, which has been adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original Frederick Knott.

The season will come to a close with the world premiere of a new, jazz-infused musical adaptation of Twelve Angry Men. Directed by Asolo Rep's new producing artistic director Peter Rothstein, the production will run from May 8 to June 9. Based on Reginald Rose's 1954 teleplay, the work centers on a jury tasked with deciding a defendant's fate in a murder trial.
