T.R. Knight, best known for his Emmy-nominated work as Dr. George O’Malley on Grey’s Anatomy, plays the role of Bottom in Chicago Shakespeare's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream beginning December 6.
Helmed by Artistic Director Joe Dowling, the Shakespeare comedy will continue through January 27, 2019. Knight reunites with Dowling, who directed him in the Broadway revival of Tartuffe.
Knight is joined by Alexandra Silber as the fairy queen Titania, Edward O'Blenis as Oberon and Theseus, Cristina Panfilio as Helena, Tyrone Phillips as Lysander, Melisa Soledad Pereyra as Hermia, Eric Schabla as Demetrius, Sam Kebede as Puck and Philostrate, Joe Dempsey as Peter Quince, William Dick as Egeus/Snug, Jonathan Butler-Duplessis as Snout, Sara Sevigny as Starveling, Alec Silver as Francis Flute, and Adrienne Storrs as the First Fairy with Ethan Deppe, Michael Ferraro, Luke Halpern, Jarais Musgrove, Michael Rawls, KJ Sheldon, and Lauren Smith.
The creative team also includes composer and music director Keith Thomas, choreographer Joe Chvala, scenic designer Todd Rosenthal, costume designer Fabio Toblini, lighting designers Jesse Klug and Greg Hofmann, sound designer Victoria (Toy) Deiorio, wig and makeup designer Richard Jarvie, verse coach Kevin Gudahl, and assistant director Erin Kraft.
