Off-Broadway News Toros Opens Off-Broadway at Second Stage August 1

Danny Tejera's Toros officially opens its Off-Broadway run at Second Stage Theater Uptown August 1 after beginning performances July 19. Performances will continue through August 13 at the McGinn/Cazale Theater.

Juan Castano leads the cast, along with Abubakr Ali, b, and Frank Wood. Rounding out the company as understudies are Vero Maynez, Don Noble, and Trey Santiago-Hudson. Casting is by The Telsey Office.

The work follows three international late-20-somethings as they smoke, drink, and hang out in a garage in Madrid, discussing reality and what to believe in.

Gene Taylor Upchurch is directing, leading a creative team that includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Enver Chakartash, lighting designer Barbara Samuels, and sound designer Darron L West.
