Alan Arkin, winner of a 1963 Tony Award for his performance in Enter Laughing, is the latest addition to the cast of the live-action adaptation of the classic 1941 animated Disney film Dumbo, about a baby elephant whose oversized ears allow him the chance to fly.

Arkin, according to Variety, joins a cast that also includes Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Nico Parker, and Finley Hobbins. Tim Burton directs a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, who is producing with Justin Springer and executive producer Nigel Gostelow.

The film centers on Holt Farrier (Farrell), who is enlisted to care for the newborn elephant by circus owner Max Medici (DeVito). It is Holt's children who discover Dumbo's unique flying skills as an entrepreneur (Keaton) and an aerial artist (Green) are determined to make Dumbo a star. Arkin, also an Oscar winner for his work in Little Miss Sunshine, is cast as Wall Street tycoon J. Griffin Remington.

Dumbo will arrive in cinemas March 29, 2019, and is now in production in London.

Disney is currently preparing for several live-action features, including The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid. Check out photos from the hit, live-action version of Beauty and the Beast below:
