Special Features The Look Book: The Most Memorable Looks From the Red Carpet of Harmony

From modern two-piece ensembles to early century empire waists, see what the stars wore for opening night of the Barry Manilow-Bruce Sussman musical.

Sierra Boggess, Kyla Stone, and Micaela Diamond

We're reaching the finish line of the fall season, which means red carpet fashion is flourishing with velvet textures, jewel tones, and starbursts of golden, glittering mid-November glamour. To celebrate the long-awaited Broadway opening night of Harmony, the new musical by Barry Manilow and Bruce Sussman (which took three decades to get to this point), we picked out some of our favorite looks from the show's red carpets.

There were gowns but also such sharp suits that we're willing to create our own sextet singing group with those matching outfits. See highlights from the Harmony red carpet below.

Sierra Boggess Michaelah Reynolds

Sierra Boggess

Sierra Boggess (who plays Mary in Harmony) was serving early-winter snow princess vibes in this gown by Randi Rahm Couture, and we'd expect nothing less from Broadway's beloved Ariel and Christine Daaé alumnus. The tulle fanning out at the top gives sophisticated maturity, while the twirl-worthy skirt offers an ethereal air of playfulness. The jewels by Oscar Heyman tie it all together to create a timeless sense of regality.

Julie Benko Michaelah Reynolds

Julie Benko

Julie Benko's luxe red satin Mac Duggal gown is outshining the red carpet itself with its timeless Broadway brilliance (and it's a smart nod to her Harmony character Ruth, who wears a sharp red coat and beret in the show). The strapless cut allows her Old Hollywood hairstyle and classic red lipstick to stand out on top, and the slit in the skirt allows her sparkling silver Betsey Johnson heels to shine through.

Brian Stokes Mitchell Michaelah Reynolds

Brian Stokes Mitchell

Red carpet attendee Brian Stokes Mitchell's art-print collared shirt is the perfect way to bring creativity and life to a monochrome suit! The rich navy blue of the jacket and pants perfectly complements the bright cerulean and fresh pastel tones of the shirt underneath, making this ensemble colorful without being overwhelming.

Micaela Diamond Michaelah Reynolds

Micaela Diamond

Red carpet attendee Micaela Diamond took a break from starring in the new Sondheim musical Here We Are to stun in this black two-piece set by One Of. The low neck and subtle crop of the top with the high-waisted pants adds sophisticated length. The satin texture of the pants gives a graceful, soft touch to the angular edginess of the look. Her purse by Roger Vivier is the ultimate red carpet accessory, adding just the right amount of sparkle.

Alan H. Green Michaelah Reynolds

Alan H. Green

Red carpet attendee Alan H. Green kept it simple with a sleek black suit—which never goes out of style, especially when it's worn this well. Flawlessly tailored, Green's look is accentuated by the crisp white handkerchief, the long black tie, the silver-and-chrome watch, and that perfect hands-clasped pose in the photo that has him looking effortlessly cool.

Sean Bell Michaelah Reynolds

Sean Bell

Sean Bell (who plays Robert "Bobby" Biberty in Harmony) got the memo: It's time to pull out the plaid as we shift from autumn to the holidays! This particular plaid Brooks Brothers blazer is an incredibly flattering mix of forest green and navy blue that really complements Bell's hair and eye color, and the exposed cut on the pant legs allows the structure of the Stacy Adams loafers to show, creating sophistication from head to toe.

Kyla Stone Michaelah Reynolds

Kyla Stone

Harmony cast member Kyla Stone's dress fits the fashion era of Harmony perfectly, with the empire waist and starburst motif taking inspiration from early century styles. The black mesh adds a modern layer to the look, making it a perfect fit for both the 1920s era of The Comedian Harmonists, and the 2023 opening of Harmony on Broadway!

Steven Telsey Michaelah Reynolds

Steven Telsey

With an emerald green velvet suit and a rhinestone-embellished black bow, Steven Telsey brought the glamour and luxury! The richness of the velvet with the show-stopping sparkle of the bow tie against the black-buttoned white dress shirt created a lush look perfect for any formal occasion. Telsey plays Asparuh "Lesh" Leschnikoff in the show.

Allison Semmes Michaelah Reynolds

Allison Semmes

Allison Semmes plays real-life icon Josephine Baker in Harmony and she made Baker proud in this absolutely jaw-dropping and elegant black satin look! With the rounded V-neck of the dress and the matching shawl, Semmes looks straight out of a Golden Age film premiere. The bedazzled bow on her heels also adds a pop of glitzy fun.

Benjamin H. Moore Michaelah Reynolds

Benjamin H. Moore

Harmony cast member Benjamin H. Moore's look is simultaneously classy and cool, with the structured cut of his cropped blazer set by ORTTU giving a sophisticated touch, while the hat and ASOS platform boots bring an edge. Moore's red brooch ties in with the carpet perfectly without clashing with the tones of the outfit.

RhonniRose Mantilla Michaelah Reynolds

RhonniRose Mantilla

Harmony cast member RhonniRose Mantilla lit up the night like a firework in this stunning dress by Primavera Couture. The purple and pink hues against the mermaid shape come together for an absolutely magical look!
