New Light Theater Project and Embeleco Unlimited give Owen Panettieri's The Lights Are On a world premiere Off-Broadway at Theatre Row beginning October 7. The limited run will continue through November 11.

Starring in her first New York stage appearance in more than a decade is Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods) as Liz, along with Jenny Bacon (More Stately Mansions) as Trish and Marquis Rodriguez (Queen Sugar) as Nathan. Rounding out the company are understudies Carolyn Baeumler and Hugo Wehe. Casting is by Gama Valle.

After seeing a stranger waiting outside her bedroom window, Trish goes to neighbor Liz for help, only to find that a hidden threat may be closing in on all of them.

"The Lights Are On was born out of a sense of anxiety I think a lot of people have been experiencing," said Panettieri in an earlier statement. "We're trying to hold on to our connection to our family members and our neighbors in what feels like an increasingly chaotic world. The characters find themselves having to determine if everything around them is as it seems, or if nothing is as it seems. I'm excited for audiences to go on that journey with them and to reach their own conclusions as to who and what on stage can be trusted."

Sarah Norris is directing, with scenic design by Brian Dudkiewicz, lighting by Kelley Shih, costume design by Kara Branch, and sound design by Janet Bentley. Josh Blye is production stage manager, and Jessica Kemp and Hugo Wehe serve as assistant stage managers. Kleo Mitrokostas is producing associate.
