On the newest episode of The Broadway Cast, Playbill welcomed Tony and Grammy winner Billy Porter, and Tony nominees Laura Bell Bundy and Alex Brightman to chat musicals, movies, and career-defining moments.
Listen to the episode to hear about Brightman’s newest writing project (a special musical show for Disney), Porter talks about his new album The Soul of Richard Rodgers, and Bell Bundy recalls the time she performed at the ACM Awards on a giant horseshoe.
Porter’s Broadway credits include Shuffle Along, Kinky Boots, Miss Saigon, Smokey Joe’s Café, Grease, and Five Guys Named Moe. Bell Bundy currently stars in the world premiere of The Honeymooners at the Paper Mill Playhouse and has starred on Broadway as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and Glinda in Wicked. And Brightman has appeared on Broadway in School of Rock, Matilda, Big Fish, Wicked, and Glory Days.
Each episode of The Broadway Cast, hosted by Broadway vet Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida), features a mix of guests who make Broadway what it is: the stars, the creatives, the notable movers and shakers, and more.
