They're in the bright lights. Broadway's Stereophonic will release a vinyl LP edition of its cast recording in the fall.

A limited-edition run of only 750 copies, the album’s vinyl edition is pressed on crystal clear, 180-gram vinyl, and housed alongside a special insert featuring images from the play. Produced by Playwrights Horizons, the vinyl will be released October 18. The cast recording is currently available in CD and on streaming platforms.

Written by David Adjmi, the play won Tony Awards for Best Play, Direction of a Play (Daniel Aukin), Featured Actor (Will Brill), Sound Design (Ryan Rumery), and Scenic Design (David Zinn). The play had already made history prior to the ceremony as the most Tony-nominated play in Broadway history, with 13 nominations.

The play, which follows an unnamed '70s rock band recording their sophomore album, features original music by Will Butler, formerly of the band Arcade Fire. The production will run on Broadway until January 5, 2025, at the Golden Theatre.
