Grammy winner and original The Wiz star Stephanie Mills, six-time Grammy nominee Yola, and Pretty Little Liars star Maia Reficco join the cast of the Tony-winning musical Hadestown July 2 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
Mills, Yola, and Reficco step into the roles of Hermes, Persephone, and Eurydice, respectively. Jon Jon Briones, Ani DiFranco, and Isa Briones played their final performances in those roles June 30.
“After nearly 50 years in the entertainment business, which is all I’ve ever known, every fiber of my professional being I owe to the discipline of my Broadway training as a child at the beginning of my career,” Mills said in an earlier statement. “The joy of life’s full circle moment for me is returning to my roots—only this time as Hermes in Hadestown. Power!”
The production also recently announced that a new block of tickets is now on sale through April 27, 2025.
