Here, via email, we hear from actor Daniel Damiano, who stars as Daniel Pinkerton in Going Once! Laughing Twice!!, a new comedy by Brian Jaffe at St. Luke's Theatre.

What show recently impressed you?
I enjoyed a recent revival of Ira Lewis' Chinese Coffee, which closed Off-Broadway last month. A simple but well-written exchange about how a draft of a novel challenges a friendship. Fine performances by both Austin Pendleton and Sean Walsh, and solidly directed by Louise Lasser.

What production are you most excited to see?
I'd be interested to see the latest revival of Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, which is my favorite Albee play. I saw the '96 revival, and it was one of the best things I've seen on Broadway. I'd also like to see Holly Hunter in the New Group's revival of David Rabe's Sticks and Bones and Austin Pendleton in Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men at the Public.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I think Jules Feiffer's Grown Ups is a tremendously underrated play, and I would love to see that revived (Broadway or Off-Broadway). I would like to play Jake, the journalist in conflict with both his insecure wife and overbearing parents. I would also love to see (and play the title role) in a revival of David Mamet's Edmond, which I don't think has been done in NYC in a very long time. There are others, of course.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I'm currently playing auction house general manager Daniel Pinkerton, among a lovely cast, in the very fun interactive farce Going Once! Laughing Twice!!, which currently plays Thursday and Friday nights at Off-Broadway's St. Luke's Theatre; goingoncelaughingtwice.com. My wife (Judy Alvarez) and I have also just formed our own theatre company, fandango 4 Art House, and are currently producing the EyeShot Reading Series, which focuses on new work and established plays. Next up is a reading of my play Graphic Nature on Dec. 1st at Theaterlab. I'm also currently appearing as Brit Adventurer/Host Wolfe Kanine in An Extreme Calling, a web series sponsored by Horace Mann Insurance for Educators.
