Here, via email, we hear from Brandon Uranowitz, a Tony nominee for his performance in the award-winning new musical An American in Paris at Broadway's Palace Theatre.
What show recently impressed you?
I saw Fun Home when it was at the Public and have not sobbed that hard before or since. It's tremendously important, and all of the performances are earth-shattering. Sydney Lucas is my new hero.
What production are you most excited to see?
I cannot wait until our schedules allow for me to see Hand to God and The Visit.
What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
I would give everything - EVERYTHING - to play Arnold in a revival of Torch Song Trilogy. With Tyne Daly as Arnold's mom. Anyone? Please?
What are your current/upcoming projects?
Well right now I eat, sleep and breathe An American in Paris. But, I'm really excited to go down to DC for a special event called "Will on the Hill" at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in DC with over 100 members of Congress.
