The program introduces theatre design to high school students from underserved and underrepresented communities.

Design Action's Springboard to Design program, created in partnership with the American Theatre Wing, has put its summer 2024 programming on hold as it restructures for a 2025 return. The initiative connects high school students from underserved and underrepresented communities nationwide with the world of theatre design.

Past curriculum has included workshops, seminars, and more, taking students inside the design process of productions on Broadway and beyond. Scenic, costume, lighting, projection, and sound design were all covered in the tuition-free program.

Design Action expects to begin accepting applications for the relaunched 2025 program at the end of 2024.
