James Graham's play about England's men's football team and team manager Gareth Southgate sold out its recent run at London's National.

Full casting and creative team information has been revealed for James Graham's Dear England, which will transfer to the West End following its run  at the National Theatre's Olivier this June. Starring Joseph Fiennes, it will play Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West End beginning October 9 for a run scheduled to continue through January 13, 2024, with opening night set for October 19.

Telling the story of England's men's football team and team manager Gareth Southgate, played by Joseph Fiennes (Othello, Shakespeare in Love, The Handmaid's Tale), the new play sold out its limited engagement at the National Theatre. 

Fiennes will be joined by Dervla Kirwan in the role of Pippa Grange, Josh Barrow as Jordan Pickford, Gunnar Cauthery as Gary Lineker, Will Close as Harry Kane, Crystal Condie as Alex Scott, Will Fletcher as Jordan Henderson, Darragh Hand as Marcus Rashford, John Hodgkinson as Greg Clarke, Lloyd Hutchinson as Sam Allardyce, Albert Magashi as Jadon Sancho, Kel Matsena as Raheem Sterling, Lewis Shepherd as Dele Alli, Griffin Stevens as Harry Maguire, Paul Thornley as Mike Webster, Tony Turner as Greg Dyke, and Ryan Whittle as Eric Dier. Nick Barclay, Tashinga Bepete, Kate Kelly Flood, Will Harrison-Wallace, Miranda Heath, Tom Mahy and Tristan Waterson round out the company. 

Rupert Goold (Spring Awakening) directs the production, which features set design by Es Devlin, costume design by Evie Gurney, lighting design by Jon Clark, movement direction by Ellen Kane and  Hannes Langolf, video design by  Ash J Woodward, sound design by Dan Balfour and Tom Gibbons, additional music by Max Perryment, casting direction by Bryony Jarvis Taylor, vocal coaching by Cathleen McCarron, and dialect coaching by Richard Ryder.
