Winners of the 67th Annual Drama Desk Awards have been revealed, with Some Like It Hot continuing its successful awards season with eight wins, including Outstanding Musical. Life of Pi took four categories, becoming the most recognized play for this year's Drama Desks, though it notably was not nominated for Outstanding Play. Taking that honor was Leopoldstadt, one of the production's two wins.

Winners were announced in a press release May 31, but a ceremony is planned for June 6 at Sardi's Restaurant to celebrate this year's honorees. Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody will host the afternoon event.

This year's awards are the Drama Desk's first to go gender neutral, with the newly structured acting categories now featuring twice as many nominees. Voters selected two winners per acting category as well.

As previously announced, this year's awards also include three non-competitive honors. Stephen McKinley Henderson, fresh off Broadway's Between Riverside and Crazy, is receiving the Harold Prince Lifetime Achievement Award. Henderson was not eligible for his performance in Riverside because he received a Drama Desk nomination for his performance in the work's 2015 Off-Broadway run.

The Ensemble Award is going to the cast of Soho Rep's Public Obscenities, comprising Tashnuva Anan, Abrar Haque, Golam Sarwar Harun, Gargi Mukherjee, NaFis, Jakeem Dante Powell, and Debashis Roy Chowdhury. The Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award will go to Ryan J. Haddad for his work on this season's Dark Disabled Stories and american (tele)visions.

The Drama Desks recognize the best in Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway theatre. This year's nominating committee comprises Martha Wade Steketee, Linda Armstrong, Daniel Dinero, Peter Filichia, Kenji Fujishima, Margaret Hall, and Charles Wright.

Special Awards:
Harold Prince Lifetime Achievement Award
Stephen McKinley Henderson has been bringing in-depth, gripping portrayals of memorable characters to the stage for over four decades. With his return to Broadway this season as Pops in Between Riverside and Crazy, which the Drama Desk previously nominated in 2015, this year’s Harold Prince Lifetime Achievement Award marks Henderson’s role in this powerful production as a celebration of his brilliant career.

Ensemble Award
The cast of Soho Rep’s Public Obscenities—Tashnuva Anan, Abrar Haque, Golam Sarwar Harun, Gargi Mukherjee, NaFis, Jakeem Dante Powell, and Debashis Roy Chowdhury—embodied the transnational world of Shayok Misha Chowdhury’s bilingual play with memorable authenticity, remarkable specificity, and extraordinary warmth.

Sam Norkin Off-Broadway Award
From his standout performance in american (tele)visions, to writing and performing the autobiographical Dark Disabled Stories, Ryan J. Haddad’s work this season has expanded on and interrogated what the idea of “accessibility” really means. Whether riding a shopping cart like a throne, or relating his experiences on a “gay, pink bus,” Haddad shared with audiences an unabashed queer fabulosity that was both unforgettable and deeply human.
