Party on, dudes! Dates and a Broadway theatre have been found for the upcoming revival of Waiting for Godot, which will reunite Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure film stars Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter for a new production of the Samuel Beckett play, directed by Jamie Lloyd (Sunset Boulevard).
Performances will begin September 13 at the Hudson Theatre ahead of a September 28 opening night. The limited engagement will continue through January 4, 2026.
An American Express ticket pre-sale will begin April 16 at 10 AM ET, with a priority list pre-sale following April 21 at 10 AM ET. General sales will begin April 23 at 10 AM ET.
Reeves will play Estragon opposite Winter's Vladimir, with additional casting to be announced. The production will mark Reeves' Broadway debut. Winter previously appeared on Broadway as a child, playing John Darling in the 1979 Sandy Duncan-led Peter Pan.
Premiering in 1953, Waiting for Godot centers on two men waiting for the titular Godot, engaging in a number of discussions in the meantime. The work has become a theatrical classic. On Broadway alone, the upcoming revival will be the play's fifth major staging.
The Jamie Lloyd Company, ATG Productions, Bad Robot Live, and Gavin Kalin Productions are producing. 101 Productions, Ltd. is general manager.
