Sherie Rene Scott and Nicholas Christopher Go 'Somewhere That's Green' in Little Shop of Horrors Starting October 22

The hit Off-Broadway revival of Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's Little Shop of Horrors—which celebrated its fifth anniversary at the Westside Theatre with the unveiling of an “Audrey II” statue September 19 in Times Square—welcomes its newest set of Skid Row's unlikely lovers October 22.

Tony nominee Sherie Rene Scott (Everyday Rapture, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Aida) and Nicholas Christopher (Sweeney Todd, Hamilton, Miss Saigon) step into the roles of, respectively, Audrey and Seymour. They succeed Sarah Hyland and Andrew Barth Feldman, who played their final performances September 29. In the interim, the production was led by a rotating cast of production wonderstudies.

The Off-Broadway cast also features Tony nominee Stephen DeRosa as Mushnik, James Carpinello as Dr. Orin Scrivello DDS, Major Attaway as The Voice of Audrey II, Tiffany Renee Thompson as Ronnette, and Morgan Ashley Bryant as Crystal as well as Camryn Hampton, Michael Iannucci, Weston Chandler Long, Jeff Sears, Teddy Yudain, Zakiya Baptiste, Noel MacNeal, Jon Hoche, Johnny Newcomb, Melissa Victor, Christine Wanda, Daria Pilar Redus, Hailey Thomas, and Savannah Lee Birdsong.

Previous players in the roles of Seymour and Audrey Off-Broadway have included Jonathan Groff, Tammy Blanchard, Jeremy Jordan, Lena Hall, Maude Apatow, Gideon Glick, Rob McClure, Skylar Astin, Conrad Ricamora, Matt Doyle, Darren Criss, Evan Rachel Wood, Corbin Bleu, Constance Wu, and RuPaul's Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon, who became first drag queen to play Audrey in a major production of the musical.

The Off-Broadway revival began previews September 17, 2019, prior to an official opening October 17; the production resumed its run September 21, 2021, after temporarily closing in March 2020 due to the pandemic.

Director Michael Mayer's creative team for the Howard Ashman-Alan Menken musical also includes choreographer Ellenore Scott, scenic designer Julian Crouch, lighting designer Bradley King, costume designer Tom Broecker, sound designer Jessica Paz, puppet designer Nicholas Mahon, original puppet designer Martin P. Robinson, hair and makeup designer Tommy Kurzman, music supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger Will Van Dyke, and casting director Jim Carnahan. Puppets are by Monkey Boys Productions.

General management is by Live Wire Theatrical/Chris Aniello, and production stage management is by Sara Sahin.
