Frank Wildhorn's Bonnie & Clyde is hitting the road!
The musical, which recently enjoyed West End runs at the Arts Theatre and the Garrick Theatre, will embark on a U.K. and Ireland tour in 2024.
The tour will star Katie Tonkinson (Bat Out of Hell) as Bonnie Parker, Sam Ferriday (Heathers, The Cher Show) as Marvin “Buck” Barrow, and Danny Hatchard (Eastenders, Our Girl, Ridley Road) and Alex James-Hatton (Heathers, Newsies) as Clyde Barrow, with Nate Landskroner alternating as Clyde Barrow during midweek matinee performances.
Additionally, Catherine Tyldesley (Coronation Street, Strictly Come Dancing) will appear as Blanche Barrow, with Daisy Wood-Davis (Hollyoaks, Holby City) assuming the role at select venues; alongside Jaz Ellington (The Voice UK, Eurovision: You Decide) as The Preacher at select venues.
AJ Lewis (Mandela, Mrs Doubtfire) will alternate as The Preacher at select venues, and Hana Ichijo (The Sound of Music, Allegiance) as alternate Bonnie and Trish. Daniel Reid-Walters will play the role of Ted Hinton (Girl from the North Country, The Railway Children).
The company will be completed by Taryn Sudding as Cumie Barrow and Governor Miriam Ferguson, Alexander Evans as Henry Barrow and Deputy Johnson, Andrew Berlin as Captain Frank Hamer, James Mateo-Salt as Sheriff Schmid, Callum Henderson as Bud and Archie, Jasmine Beel as Stella and Emma Parker, and Oonagh Cox as Eleanore. Michael Cortez and Olivia Lallo will be swings.
The show features music by Tony nominee Frank Wildhorn (Wonderland, Jekyll & Hyde, The Civil War, The Scarlet Pimpernel), lyrics by Tony winner Don Black (Sunset Boulevard), and a book by Ivan Menchell (The Cemetery Club).
The tour will be directed by Nick Winston with set and costume design by Philip Witcomb, musical supervision from Katy Richardson, original arrangements and orchestrations by John McDaniel, additional arrangements and orchestrations by Jen Green, lighting design by Zoe Spurr, sound design by Tom Marshall, video design by Nina Dunn, wig design by Darren Ware, and casting by Jim Arnold. Bonnie & Clyde previously played Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre November 4-December 30, 2011, directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun.
