The 2022 Tony-winning revival of Take Me Out opened its return engagement October 27 at the Schoenfeld Theatre. Tony nominee Jesse Williams and Tony winner Jesse Tyler Ferguson lead the Richard Greenberg play, centering on a major league baseball player who comes out of the closet during a press conference.
Check out the video above of the return's first curtain call with speeches from Williams and Ferguson. Willams welcomes new cast member Bill Heck, replacing Patrick J. Adams in the role of Kippy. Ferguson then announces that to celebrate the encore production, the company, led by producers Barry and Fran Weissler and director Scott Ellis have made a donation to Family Equality, an organization dedicated to advancing equality for LGBTQ families.
