Get a sneak peek at Michael Tucker's new work A Tailor Near Me with first-look rehearsal photos ahead of its world premiere. The New Jersey Repertory Company production starring Tony nominee Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and James Pickens, Jr. (Grey's Anatomy) begins July 27 ahead of a July 29 opening night. Performances will continue through August 27. James Glossman is at the helm. See the rehearsal photos below.
Tucker's new play centers on a man who takes a pair of pants to a local tailor only to end up commissioning a custom suit that will change both of their lives.
The production will feature scenic design by Jessica Parks, lighting design by Jill Nagle, sound design by Nick Simone, and costume design by Patricia E. Doherty. Brian Snyder is technical director, and Rose Riccardi is production stage manager.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
