Mike Bartlett's political play The 47th opened at London's Old Vic April 9, after beginning previews March 29. The playwright currently has two shows playing in London, including the Joel Harper-Jackson and Jonathan Bailey-led production of Cock

Directed by Rupert Goold, The 47th transports audience members into the future. Taking place during the 2024 United States Presidential Election, the comedy stars Bertie Carvel as Donald Trump, Tamara Tunie as Kamala Harris, and Lydia Wilson as Ivanka Trump.

The cast also includes Simon Williams as Joe Biden, James Garnon as Ted Cruz/Paul, Richard Hansell as Steve Richetti/Ohio Senator, Oscar Lloyd as Donald Jr./Matt, Jenni Maitland as Heidi Cruz/Moderator/CIA, Freddie Meredith as Eric Trump, James Cooney as Charlie Takahashi, Joss Carter as Shaman, Ben Onwukwe as General Taylor, Cherrelle Skeete as Tina Flournoy/Nurse Vita, and Ami Tredrea as Rosie Takahasi. The ensemble features David Tarkenter, Eva Fontaine, David Carr, Kaja Chan, Charles Craddock, and Flora Dawson.
