Release dates have been announced for two eagerly awaited Disney films: the sequel to the 2013 animated hit Frozen and the live-action adaptation of The Lion King.
The follow-up to Frozen will hit screens November 27, 2019, while The Lion King, which will be directed by Jon Favreau, will make its debut June 19, 2019, according to Deadline.
Frozen won two Oscars in 2014: Best Song (“Let It Go”) and Best Animated Feature. A new musical based on Disney’s Academy Award-winning film will play the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Buell Theatre August 17–October 1 before arriving on Broadway in spring 2018 at the St. James Theatre.
