Ramin Karimloo, Norman Bowman and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt have joined the previously announced Kerry Ellis in the U.K. premiere of Murder Ballad, set to begin performances September 29 at London's Arts Theatre prior to an official opening October 5.
In a press statement, Karimloo—who was Tony-nominated for his performance as Valjean in Les Misérables in 2015—commented, “I saw Murder Ballad in NYC and thought it was an incredible show. Really passionate and gritty. When I heard it was to get its West End premier with Sam Yates directing I knew I wanted to be part of it. Really excited to be working with this cast and being back in the UK for it.”
Conceived by Jonathan Larson Award winner Julia Jordan, with book and lyrics by Jordan and music and lyrics by indie rock singer/songwriter Juliana Nash, the 2013 immersive love-triangle musical is being presented in London by Soundcheck Productions. It is directed by Sam Yates, designed by Richard Kent, with lighting by the Tony-nominated David Plater (Bring Up The Bodies).
