The season kicks off September 28 with Robert Harling’s southern classic Steel Magnolias, running through October 21 in the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. DTC Playwright-in-Residence Will Power’s Fetch Clay, Make Man, exploring the legacies of and friendship between Muhammad Ali and Stepin Fetchit, will follow December 5–January 6, 2019.

Following a 2017 Broadway bow, Nottage's study on the industrial working class Sweat heads to the theatre February 8–March 3, with The Wolves running March 6–April 7. DeLappe’s drama, which charts the tribulations of nine teenage girls on an indoor soccer team, recently played a return Off-Broadway engagement with Lincoln Center Theater.

Completing the mainstage lineup are presentations of Twelfth Night (March 29–April 28), the world premiere of Dallas-based playwright Jonathan Norton’s Penny Candy, about a family who runs a candy shop against a much less sweet backdrop (June 5–July 7), and Josefina López’s 1990 play Real Women Have Curves (June 28–July 21).

DTC’s annual presentation of A Christmas Carol, adapted by Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty, will return November 21–December 30.
