Performances are set to begin Oct. 15 and will continue through Oct. 31 at La Mama's First Floor Theatre.

In a nod to Tourette's, the show utilizes an "erratic and energetic performance style" describe press notes. Directed by Haney, Comfort performs the one-man-show that details his week attending the Tourette Syndrome Association National Conference in Washington, D.C. Diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at seven years of age, the New York-native has been a fixture on the downtown theatre scene for years.

The Elephant in Every Room I Enter was conceived at the Mabou Mines Artist Residency and further developed in a workshop production at La MaMa in 2014. The artistic team is made up of Caite Hevner Kemp and Lianne Arnold (scenic and projection design), Daisy Long (lighting design), Summer Lee Jack (costume design), Elisheba Ittoop (sound design) and Dan Safer (choreography). Highlights of the 54th season at La Mama also include the upcoming production of Medea, performed by a mix of professional actors and a chorus of diversely abled actors.

Marking his 35th anniversary at La MaMa, Dario D'Ambrosi's Italian company Teatro Patologico returns to New York with the staging of Euripides’ Medea. The production combines professional actors, who perform in English, with a chorus of 14 actors with diverse abilities, including epilepsy, neurological disabilities and down syndrome. D'Ambrosi's Rome-based school of theatre works with differently abled students, allowing them to express themselves on the stage. Performances will run Oct. 8-18.
