Tony nominee Eddie Izzard began performances as 23 characters in a solo version of William Shakespeare's Hamlet January 25. Opening night is set for February 11, and performances will continue through March 3 at Off-Broadway's Greenwich House Theater.
The six-week engagement is directed by Selena Cadell. Mark Izzard penned the adaptation of the Shakespeare classic. The two also worked with Eddie Izzard on a solo version of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations last season.

A Tony nominee for her performance in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, Izzard was also seen on Broadway in Race. Her London stage credits include The Cryptogram, Edward II, 900 Oneonta, Joe Egg, and Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations.
