Kimberly Akimbo officially opened at Broadway's Booth Theatre November 10. Go inside the starry celebration in the photos below.
The new musical features a book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire (based on his play of the same name), music by Tony winner Jeanine Tesori, choreography by Danny Mefford, and direction by Jessica Stone.
Tony winner Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza) stars as Kimberly, a bright New Jersey teenager with an aging disease that makes her look like a 72-year-old lady. She leads a cast that also includes Justin Cooley in his Broadway debut, Tony nominee Steven Boyer (Hand to God), Alli Mauzey (Cry Baby, Wicked), Bonnie Milligan (Head Over Heels), and Fernell Hogan (The Prom), plus Olivia Elease Hardy, Michael Iskander, and Nina White, all making their Broadway debuts.
