Directed by Tony nominee Leigh Silverman (Violet, Well), the official opening night is set for May 20 at 2ST.
The Way We Get By is billed as a story about love and lust "and the whole damn thing." Seyfried and Sadoski star as two people who have an awkward encounter after spending a night together following a drunken wedding reception. "They wake up to a blurry morning where the rules of attraction, sex and society are waiting for them before their first cup of coffee," according to press notes. "Leading them to ponder how much they really know about each other and how much they really care about what other people think."
Sadoski was Tony-nominated for his performance in the Broadway premiere of LaBute's Reasons to Be Pretty.
The production features set design by Neil Patel, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Matthew Frey and sound design by Bart Fasbender. Casting is by Telsey + Co., Will Cantler.
LaBute's plays include Reasons to Be Pretty, Reasons to Be Happy, The Shape of Things, The Break of Noon, Fat Pig, The Money Shot and The Mercy Seat, among others.
