The Arconia is getting as dangerous as Cabot Cove.
Just as Season 3 of the hit Hulu comedy mystery series Only Murders in the Building dropped its finale episode, the series announced October 3 via a post on X (formerly Twitter) that it has been renewed for a fourth season. The series stars Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin as amateur detectives who, in Season 1, launch a podcast as they try to solve the murder of a neighbor in their Upper West Side apartment building, The Arconia.
After two seasons and two murders in the building, it looked like Season 3 was going to switch locations with the onstage death of new character Ben Glenroy (played by Paul Rudd) in a Broadway production directed by Oliver (Short's character). However, he didn't really die on stage—he just merely collapsed and later dies at the opening night party IN THE BUILDING. (Rental agreements should come with a hazard clause.)
The first season of Only Murders in the Building premiered on Hulu August 31, 2021, with 10 episodes releasing weekly. Steve Martin and John Hoffman are co-creators of the series, and executive produce with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal. According to reporting in Variety, the series is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date.
