They will appear with the 70-strong BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, and a 100-strong choir comprising students from Arts Educational Schools London.

The BBC Concert Orchestra will also be performing at the 2016 Olivier Awards ceremony, taking place in April 2016.

In a press statement, Maria Friedman commented, "It's a real thrill to be working with such a talented cast of musical theatre legends and an absolute treat to be joined on stage by the wonderful BBC Concert Orchestra. The Olivier Awards have always been a chance to honor the best talent working on the West End stage – so there’s no better way to celebrate the 40th birthday than by bringing together an all-star cast of former award winners."

The Oliviers in Concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 as part of Radio 3 In Concert, and will be available afterwards for 30 days via BBC iPlayer Radio.
